Little Tiger...Little Gamecock...or BOTH!?!?!

Looks like this is definitely our child! Here is an ultrasound picture that we must have overlooked when we posted the other ones. I guess baby girl will be coming out of the womb a little confused about which school to pull for...

I guess we have to wait until August to find out!

Quick Update

I can’t believe how wonderful I feel these days. The pills my doctor gave me last week have helped tremendously. I feel like a new person.

So far I have Jamie in town for the next 3 weeks (I know it’s a miracle) so we are working harder than ever to get everything together before the baby gets here. I know it seems like we have all the time in the world, but his schedule changes so much we never know when he's going to be home.

Many of you know our friends Wes and Jennifer had a little girl on Valentine's Day. I received some beautiful pictures of her from Easter and just had to share…here is Sadi Grace Lindner.

On another note I am happy to report that two of my friends are expecting. Vanessa is due 10/10/08 and Jen is due 10/15/08. Congrats girls…Jamie and I are so excited for you.

18 Weeks and 3 Days

This weeks post will be brought to you by the "Father-to-be".
For me this week has been quite hectic. Since last Thursday, I spent four days in Dallas, TX for a casting call, which went great! Flew in around midnight Sunday and then woke up at 345am Monday to head to Pittsburgh. Arrived back in Charlotte around midnight again, had to be at work early Tuesday because we had an inventor coming in to see how his product was going. Then had to head out to New York on Wednesday morning for a day trip. Our flight got cancelled coming back to Charlotte, but fortunately for me, I was able to fly standby on an earlier flight. Now you are caught up to today....all except the one thing that you check these posts for. So here we go.

Steph had a doctor's appointment this morning. Everything went great! The babie's heart rate was at 145...which is normal. Steph has still been battling the nausea, so the doc gave her a few more pills to pop to help with that and to also help her sleep at night when it's the worst. And we also found out that...

San Diego take 2

Jamie and I are back from San Diego and we had a blast. I can truly see myself living there.
I got a little nauseas as we took off from Charlotte and the hard right the pilot made after takeoff didn’t help, but I sucked it up. Most people love direct flights, but I think it is too much for a pregnant woman. Everyone stared at me as I walked the aisle of shame to the bathroom the whole flight.

After we landed we called our hotel to come get us. The hotel took my breath away. It was by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at, well at least until I crawled into bed. I know the sheets I buy at home have a better thread count, but it was a free place to stay so I can’t complain.

The next morning we had to get up at 5:30 to be at the convention center in time for the 180 workout. The workout went great and when it was over Jamie took me to La Jolla to see the seals. I was like a little kid in a candy store, I was so excited to see the seals! They were so cute and I could have jumped in to play with them.

After the seals, Jamie took me to a beautiful beach just past the seals. The water is so different and pure…nothing like our beaches. We walked around for hours and we even found a Bridge Club. I didn’t think those truly existed. I know we see them in movies, but I thought it was something Hollywood made up. I wanted to run inside and have my picture taken with the old people, but Jamie wouldn’t let me.

After we walked forever we decided to head back to the convention center so Jamie could help out. On our way back Jamie found his favorite fish taco restaurant and we had to stop. The fish taco was ok, but not what he made it out to be.

When we got back to the convention center I started getting sick so we left and went to the hotel. I took my miracle medicine the doctor gave me and off to sleep I went. Jamie woke me up later that night so I could get ready for dinner. I had all intentions of getting all dolled up, but at that point I didn’t care. I brushed my teeth, combed my hair, threw on Jamie’s jacket and off we went to a very expensive Italian restaurant.

Dinner was good, but since I can’t eat Italian food without getting sick, all I got was a side order of green beans and some potatoes.

The next morning we got up, Jamie went to the 180 workout and I packed us up. We left for the airport because his aunt Jennifer & uncle Joel were flying into the airport and we wanted to see them. It's funny how they live in Charlotte and we never see them, but we go to CA and we do. We almost missed them. They were at baggage and we were at our terminal so we waived to each other from one floor to the next while talking to them on the phone.

Since Jamie was upgraded to first class he let me have his seat while he sat in the back with the common passengers. All in all we had a great time and I can’t wait to take baby Gay and Cooper to California.

Back From San Diego!!!

As you all may know, we went to San Diego this past weekend. The IHRSA trade show went great for the workout product from the television show. What was even greater was the fact that Steph got to go along with me to California. We had a great time! After walking a mile to and from the convention center several times on Friday, we drove over to La Jolla to take a look at the Paciffic Ocean. The view was great, here is a picture of me showing off the 17 week baby bump!!! Doesn't it look fantastic? Check back later to see more photos of San Diego and a word or two from Steph.

The Wedding

Here is a quick update before we leave for San Diego.

Last weekend Jamie and I went to Johnson City, TN for his cousin’s wedding. It was so nice to get to see his dad’s family since we hadn’t seen them since September 2006.

We left Charlotte on Friday afternoon and took the scenic route to Johnson City. It started snowing when we reached Boone. I tried my best to talk Jamie into going skiing for a couple hours, but he kept on driving. The trip was beautiful even though the snow turned to rain the closer we got to the hotel.

The whole family hung out all day Saturday and then got ready for the wedding. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was gorgeous. There was a picture of Adrianne laying down in her dress and it was by far the most beautiful wedding picture I have see. I wish I could show you!

The whole weekend was perfect until I woke up Sunday morning. That is when my nausea and vomiting returned in full force. At that point, I hadn’t been sick in almost 4 days and thought it was starring to go away. I guess I should stop thinking. Well, I am on my 3rd day on my medicine that the doctor gave me and the nausea seems to subside during the day…night time is a different story. Anyway, no matter how long I am sick I have been told its all worth it.

16 Weeks

I told everyone to check the blog for an update today, so even though it's 9:37pm, I am tired and nauseated, I decided to stay up late and give the update. I also thought I would let you see what I look as I type this. Yes, I cut all my hair off on Friday before we left for Adrianne's wedding.

This morning I had my 16 week check-up and the baby is doing great. The heart beat was either 148 or 149 (I can't remember) and he/she is quite the active child. It took my doctor awhile to find him/her.

I lost 3 pounds since my last visit and thats not good. I thought my nausea and vomiting was just a part of being pregnant so I never complained. It turns out that its rare for women at this stage to be as sick as I am. She wrote me a prescription to help me and wants to see me in two weeks.
