All set

We are all set for the 3 day potty training. Here is a look at what we got to prepare her for the next 3 days: new shirts, small prizes for when she uses the potty and bigger prizes for when she meets each potty training milestone. Jamie wanted to make Randi a cute little box for her prizes, so you know we had to get Minnie Mouse wrapping paper!
Its is cute!!!A closer look at her prizes! We wrapped each prize in cute little bags. Each bag includes some candy and either stickers, a necklace, bracelet, a princess wand, or a ball! Here is the set-up. Her diapers are ready to be thrown away when she gets up! We are off to bed and ready to start a long 3 days!!!

Random

Today at lunch I did a little shopping for Randi. I LOVE these cute dresses!!!
The main reason for my shopping trip was to get Randi some big girl panties. This weekend we will be potty training. I got a book from a friend at work that tells us how to potty train in 3 days. Its kind of brutal for everyone involved and I can think of other things we could do during the holiday weekend, but I would rather spend three longs days and it be done, then to work on it a little along the way...plus aren't these the cutest panties you have seen?!?!When I got home from work, I decided to start working on my 1st project for Randi's birthday. Can you think of what I am planning to do with these objects??? Check back later for what I did...

I dont wanna take a NAP!!!

I thought pacifiers were supposed to calm and quiet a child...she's got two and still screaming at the top of her lungs! I guess she doesn't want to take a nap, before gymnastics!

My Dearest Randi,

Thank you for the best Mother's Day! From your good morning I love you to your good night mama, you and Dada have made today very special for me!

Mama loves you very much!

Mother's Day Eve

Saturday morning we got up and went to Columbia to spend time with our families! Our 1st stop was to see Jamie's Grandmother.Next we went and saw Uncle Clet Clet's new restaurant. Doesn't he look cute behind the bar! HA
After that we went to my sister's house and cooked a BIG meal for my mom. Here is my mom and I...Happy Mother's Day Mom!I think Uncle Jay gave Randi mm's just so he could get a kiss!!!After lunch we went and saw Jamie's dad and brother. Matthew just got home from his 1st year at The Citadel. Matt - I will never understand all the things you went through the past 9 months, but I am very proud of you for making it through!!!
On an sad note: My grandmother went to be with the lord Saturday morning. I ask that you please pray for my step-mom Debbie and Aunts Lynn and Lisa as they spend their 1st Mother's Day without their precious mother! Nanny Neese, I will always remember the time we spent together when I was a child, your devotion to God and your love for your family!

Show us Your Life - Baby Names

When Jamie and I were dating we did the typical dating talk about children. I remember telling Jamie that I really didn't care how many children we had as long as I got the pick out the girls name. I already had a name picked out! HA

Fast forward 7 years and when we were ready to start having children. I was still dead set on naming our daughter and ran the name by Jamie. He LOVED it! Well, God did give a daughter and her name is...

Randi Brooks

My dad's name is Randy and Brooks is my father-in-laws middle name. What a great idea for her to be names after two of her grandfathers!

To top off our selection, we decided to let her name be a surprise. It drove our families CRAZY my entire pregnancy, but in the end they LOVED it! We even let my dad and father-in-law meet Randi before anyone else! The pictures of them meeting her and finally knowing her name are priceless!!!
